State Police Arrest Armed Career Criminal In Fitchburg

Friday night in Fitchburg, Troopers assigned to the Troop C Community Action Team stopped a Hyundai Sonata for failing to stop at a stop sign and having an invalid inspection sticker.

After the vehicle was stopped, Trooper’s while at the vehicle became concerned with the fron seat passenger who has been identified as Benjamin Rosado, 21, of Leominster.

Rosado alledgedly was making movements consistent with attempting to conceal an item.

After removing Rosado from the vehicle Trooper’s recovered a loaded .40 cal. Smith and Wesson pistol which was stolen.

Rosado was arrested and is being held without bail until his arraingment Monday in Fitchburg District Court.

Rosado has been charged with Unlawful possession of a firearm, 3rd Offense, Armed Career Criminal, Carrying Loaded Firearm, Receive Stolen Property, Possession of Firearm/Ammo W/O FID Card, Subsequent Offense and Improper Storage of Firearm.
