Boston Police Charge Suspect In Connection With Shooting Of M&R Convenience Store Clerk

On July 14, officers with the Boston Police Department assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of 718 Shawmut Avenue (M&R convenience store) in Roxbury for a report of a person shot.

Upon arrival officers located a male victim who had been shot in the head. The victim had been identified as 21-year-old Tanjim Siam who was an employee at the store.

Mr. Siam was taken to an area hospital to be treated and at this time he is still in the hospital.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit has been actively investiagating this shooting incident with the assistance of the Boston Police Forensics Unit the Brockton Police Department and the FBI Boston Violent Crimes Task Force.

On Friday an arrest warrant was issued for Stephon Samuel, 25-years-old, of Lynn. Samuel who currently is being held at the Plymouth County House of Corrections on an unrelated charge has in connection with the shooting of Mr. Siam, been charged with Armed Robbery by means of a Firearm, Armed Assault with Intent to Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Armed Career Criminal Level 1.
