MS-13 Fugitive Arrested By Federal Agents In Texas

Yesterday, federal agents in Texas made contact with an individual who they believed had been previously deported but was also a fugitive wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for a RICO conspiracy charge.

This individual has been identified as William Pineda Portillo, a/k/a “Humilde,” a member of MS-13 who on May 15, 2017 was indicted by a federal jury in Boston on one count of conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise.

During an investigation Portillo was identified as a member of the Trece Loco Salvatrucha, or TLS MS-13 clique, which operated in the Somerville area.

Portillo has made his initial appearance in the Southern District of Texas and was ordered detained pending his return to the U.S. District Court in Boston.
