Traffic Stop In Roxbury Leads To Recovery Of Loaded Firearm

Early Tuesday morning at approximately 2:30 AM, officers with the Boston Police Department assigned to District B-2, were on patrol in the area of Humboldt Ave and Seaver Street when they observed a motor vehicle with excessive tinted windows fail to stop at a red light.

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 16 Seaver Street and as a result of this traffic stop, officers recovered a loaded firearm from under the passenger seat.

Detectives from the Bravo side responded to the scene for a firearm recovery which included taking photographs of the firearm and securing the firearm in an evidence box. The firearm was determined to be a Taurus G2c 9mm with twelve rounds in the magazine.

Victoria Bangari was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. Other individuals in the vehicle which included juveniles were questioned by detectives and released.
