Victim Advocates from Crime Trackers Massachusetts will join local police departments around Massachusetts for National Coffee With A Cop day and we encourage you to join us. It has been two years since we have been able to all come together over coffee and friendship at Coffee With A Cop events around Massachusetts.
The Hawthorne, California Police Department hosted the first Coffee with a Cop in 2011, as part of its effort to enable meaningful conversations with community residents. What began as Hawthorne’s individual effort to reduce barriers between police and the public in their city has since evolved and spread into an international conversation between police officers and their communities.
Coffee with a Cop Day is a celebration of community involvement, trust building and partnerships. It is the day when community policing “takes over around the world,” building relationships one cup at a time.
