
On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Worcester Police arrested Alexander Shtudiner, 56, of Worcester, Shtudiner was charged with Trafficking Class B (Methamphetamine) 18-38 Grams, 13 Counts Possession of a Firearm W/O an FID, Card Possession of a Sawed Off Shotgun, 2 Counts Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession Of Ammunition W/O an FID Card, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Armed Career Criminal (ACC One).
During his initial appearance before Judge David P Despotopulos at the Worcester District Court, Shtudiner was represented by Attorney Robert J Lacovelli. A plea of not guilty was entered, and Shtudiner was ordered committed to the Worcester County Jail without bail.
On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at approximately 6:20 PM, members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad executed a court authorized search warrant at 88 Kinney Drive in Worcester.
The search warrant issued by Worcester District Court was for Methamphetamine, and the target of the search warrant was Shtudiner.
After making entry into 88 Kinney Drive, members of the Vice Squad located Shtudiner in the basement of the house. According to members of the Vice Squad where Shtudiner was located in the basement, it appeared to be where he was living.
On a shelf next to the bed where Shtudiner sleeps, a sandwich bag containing approximately 29.2 grams of what is believed to be Methamphetamine was recovered.
Also located in this same area was a mirror with Meth residue, a working digital scale with Meth residue, a bottle containing Meth, a coaster containing Meth, a white case containing Meth, and numerous small yellow zip lock baggies.
A clear plastic container containing a white rock like substance was recovered and is being sent out for analysis.
On the bed where Shtudiner sleeps, members of the Vice Squad recovered two unsecured firearms. Firearms were also located from other areas of the house.
The firearms recovered included an M. Napoleon 9 mm handgun, a Black firearm (Unknown make, serial #, and callber), Smith and Wesson revolver, 38 Special with 5 cartridges, Smith and Wesson 357 Magnum revolver with 5 cartridges, Charter Arms bulldog 44 special revolver with 5 cartridges, Smith and Wesson Revolver, 38 Special, Mossberg 22 caliber rifle, Winchester 308 Rifle, Optima Muzzle loader 50 cal. with scope, W. Richards double barrel shotgun, unknown caliber, W. Richards double shotgun, unknown caliber, Stevens 22 cal, rifle, Stevens Jr. 22 cal., and a Remington 870 12 Gauge sawed-off shotgun.
Also located in the basement were numerous rounds of ammunition.
Shtudiner does not have a Massachusetts license to carry or an FID card. Additionally, when members of the Vice Squad did a Board of Probation Check, they found that Shtudiner was convicted in Worcester County Superior Court in 1989 for possession of a Class B substance making Shtudiner an armed career criminal.
Shtudiner will be back in Worcester District Court on March 28 for a hearing on dangerousness.
